January 18, 2026, Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus, Establishes Academic Cooperation with Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka to Foster Global Buddhist Networks for Social Development and World Peace.
Mahamakut Buddhist University Isan Campus (MBU ISC), has taken a significant step onto the international stage by formalizing a partnership with the Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka, a leading Buddhist academic institution. The two institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster academic collaboration and promote the exchange of Buddhist knowledge.
The delegation representing Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isan Campus, included key administrators and personnel led by 1.Phra Suthee Vachiradhama, Asst. Prof. Dr., Vice Rector of Isan Campus, who has been instrumental in driving international cooperation and academic development policies. He was joined by 2.Phrakhru Vinaidhorn Chaowapit Sutheero, Abbot of Wat Pa Kanjanaphisek, a prominent figure in propagating and supporting Buddhist education both locally and internationally, and 3.Phra Phutthi Vachiramedhi, Asst. The primary goal of this MOU is to build a sustainable network between the two institutions, focusing on the following key objectives:
Exchange of Buddhist Knowledge: To share and deepen the understanding of Buddhist teachings between the two institutions.
Student and Faculty Exchange: To provide opportunities for students, monks, and novices to gain learning experiences in different contexts, fostering cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication skills.
Joint Research and Development: To collaborate on research in various fields, including Buddhism, Philosophy, Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences, to create new knowledge beneficial to global society.
Academic Synergy: To co-organize academic conferences, seminars, special lectures, and exhibitions to disseminate scholarly work and provide a platform for exchange among academics and the general public.
